Lord of Cheese
Hey,
The title has nothing to do with anything. Ignore it.
You need to see Gladiator. And the Patriot. Both excellent movies, with great messages, that really play on your emotions. In the Patriot, I went from tears in my eyes from sadness, to tears in my eyes from happiness, to "Gosh, that guy needs to die, NOW!"
Last Tuesday, I went to the lake. For a nearly divinely inspired post on that, check out www.venvidivulture.blogspot.com.
You need to check out 3 super good bands: Wilco, which is pretty much The Beatles today, Lifehouse, who is just flat out great, mostly b/c of their singer. Number 3 is Mat Kearney, which is really, really hard to describe and my current favorite. Very good.
Recently I've taken up the mandolin. So there.
Thursday, I had my filthy braces forcibly removed. That's another word that's fun to say like a little kid. Remoobed. Remoobed. My teeth feel naked. It's lovely.
Also Thursday, a great lunch with some of my favorite people, including Garrett, Candi, Priscilla, Kezzi, Hope, and the E mom, Lisa who is a lot cooler than your average mom.
Friday, I left for a wedding in KC. We stayed in a $160 hotel room free for two nights b/c my dad was doing the wedding. A definite plus. My mom said it was bigger than their first apartment. Yeah.
At the reception, Luke caught the garter... He had it on like a headband until he found out where it had been just a few minutes ago. "Yuck! It's been on her leg!? That's sick! Why are they throwing it around?!" -Luke
I think, if my fiance agrees with me, when I get married one of these days, I'm just gonna have a party, and people can just come and hang out all day, and we'll get married sometime. No schedule, nothing planned except for the marriage, which will just happen sometime that day. Nothing expensive. No tuxedos. Just love.
"Having a huge wedding makes about as much sense as bobbing for apples in the toilet." -Zach
I'm sitting here thinking that if I was a giant corndog watching a movie, I wouldn't have to go to the kitchen for snacks! I wouln't have to miss any movie; I could just start gnawing on myself. That'd be cool.
Anyways...
I've been reading some super applicationable books lately. Another great book by Brennan Manning: Posers, Fakers, & Wannabes. The title is a little misleading. It's really good.
This kid named Zach Hunter, who's 15, wrote a book called Be The Change, which has kinda got me thinking... There's so much pain and need in Africa, and I haven't really been thinking enough about it. I'm prolly going to get involved a little bit more with Africa. Not sure how, but I'll find a way.
Oh, and Priscilla, you hafta try Apple Jacks with OJ. It's a trip.
Be God's,
zach

Hey Zach,
If you're in need of comments, I think the best way to do that would be to call somebody a nerd. The last time you did that, you got like 15 on just that. Just a thougth.

Zach and I both went to weddings where they played Beatles music.
At the lake yesterday I think there were too many people who make me not at my best. (not the lake trip on my blog)
I was too busy taking the little munchkins on lengthy excursions in the over-loaded canue!

Try going to Africa. Then you'll really see what is needed most.
The wedding sounds awesome! I love the idea and am so totally gonna check the idea out with my girl...when I get one. :) No, I'm not impatient..yet.

I think I've done something like what luke did with the garter, but I can't remember what it was. Mabey that's a good thing!
10:14 AM
so who is Scribblegirl? I'm feeling really stupid because she knows me somehow...

Hey Zach this is random but I'm needing your help on guitar. I've decided I need to do a professional recording. So sometime we need to start practicing. There's a studio downtown that does recording fairly cheap, I think next year would be a good time to do it.

I'm playing the Beatles at my wedding. That is so hilarious about Luke and the garter lol!
